Health research Cameroon can use<\/h2>\n

SHINE is a health research Cameroon enterprise. We were founded in Buea in 2019. Our aim is simple: evidence produced in Africa should improve care in Africa. Therefore we train researchers, we run studies with hospitals and ministries, and we build the digital tools that carry findings to patients.<\/p>\n

Two divisions for health research Cameroon needs<\/h2>\n

Sintieh Research Academy is our research and training arm. Since 2019 it has trained more than 1,000 health professionals in five African countries. In addition, its staff and fellows have contributed to more than 50 peer-reviewed publications. MedAccess is our digital health arm. Its platform lists more than 1,000 hospitals, laboratories and pharmacies. Patients use it to find a facility, book an appointment and pay by mobile money. Finally, SHINE HUB, an integrated platform, is in development.<\/p>\n

Why health research Cameroon benefits from one organisation<\/h2>\n

Research without a delivery channel stays on the shelf. Equally, digital tools without evidence do not improve care. Because both sit under one organisation, the academy can run a study through MedAccess facilities. In turn, what the platform learns becomes a research question for the academy. As a result, partners deal with one organisation, one contract and one reporting line.<\/p>\n

Funders, ministries, universities and companies can start a partnership<\/a>. Alternatively, browse the publications library<\/a> or read about careers and fellowships<\/a>. We follow the standards of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors<\/a>. Moreover, every study with human participants receives ethical approval before data collection begins.<\/p>\n
