SHINE HUB
SHINE HUB is an integrated digital health and research platform in development, planned for 2026. It will connect the research capacity of Sintieh Research Academy with the service data of MedAccess so that evidence from the field feeds directly into policy and practice.
One platform, two kinds of knowledge
Sintieh Research Academy produces evidence; MedAccess produces access and data. SHINE HUB will bring the two together: facility and service data from the platform will be available to researchers under appropriate governance, and research findings will be delivered back to facilities and health programmes through the same channel.

What SHINE HUB will be
SHINE HUB is the third division of SHINE, and it is in development. We designed it as an integrated research and digital health platform. In one system, a research question, the field data that answer it and the patient services of MedAccess share the same infrastructure. In practice, a screening programme can enrol participants, follow them up and report outcomes through one tool.
Why we are building SHINE HUB
Today research data and service data live in separate systems. Moving between them costs time and introduces errors. SHINE HUB removes that gap. As a result, studies start faster, follow-up is cheaper and programme evidence reaches the people who run programmes without a second data-entry step.
SHINE HUB timeline and partners
Our technology team leads development, with SGCON as technology partner. Pilots will run through the NCD Cameroon programme and the MedAccess network. Organisations interested in co-developing SHINE HUB can send a partnership enquiry. Meanwhile, we report progress under news and on medaccess.shineltd.org.

First, every study has a written protocol and ethical approval before data collection. Second, we report results to the partner as well as to a journal. Third, testimonials appear only with the person’s consent. As a result, partners can rely on what SHINE publishes, and readers can check every claim against its source.
