Privacy notice
Scope of this privacy notice
This privacy notice explains how SHINE handles personal information collected through shineltd.org. We collect personal information only to answer enquiries, to consider job applications and to send the newsletter. We do not sell personal data. Nor do we share it for marketing.
Privacy notice: enquiries and applications
When you send an enquiry we store your name, email address, organisation and message so that we can reply. We keep enquiries for two years. Applications and CVs stay on our own systems. Only the reviewing staff can read them, and we delete them twelve months after the role closes. Moreover, we never attach a CV to an email.
Privacy notice: newsletter and cookies
Subscriptions use double opt-in. We record the date, the page used and the confirmation date as evidence of consent. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies; functional cookies only remember your language.
Your rights under this privacy notice
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time by writing to info@shineltd.org. Cameroon’s Law No. 2010/012 and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation govern our response. See also the terms of use.

How to reach us
You can write to info@shineltd.org at any time. Alternatively, call +237 680 338 598 during office hours, Monday to Friday. We reply within two working days. In addition, partnership and funding enquiries go to partner@shineltd.org, so that the right person answers. Questions about privacy notice are welcome.

A note on our standards
First, every study has a written protocol and ethical approval before data collection. Second, we report results to the partner as well as to a journal. Third, testimonials appear only with the person’s consent. As a result, partners can rely on what SHINE publishes, and readers can check every claim against its source.
